A new kind of painting...

So, I am always looking for things for Colt to do while I am getting ready...sitting in the bathroom with mommy just doesn't cut it for his age. So, today he wanted to get in the shower...it was still wet and he had already sat down in it, so I had an idea. Knowing that he loves to paint...we painted with shaving cream!

He loved it! So much...that he needed another bath!

And we headed straight to the bathtub!

So, not only was I able to get ready while he painted a beautiful picture on my shower, but my OT friends would say that it was quite therapeutic too!

Colt's Favorite Song

Colt loves to sing these days, and if you have seen him lately...he has probably broken out in song, whether it is at the dinner table, during the blessing, or just at any random moment. And it is usually this tune...

A Mommy has to Brag...

on how cute her baby boy is. Okay, so here are some of Colt's latest pictures taken by our wonderful photographer, Jeremy!

And these have to be some of my favorites...he is trying to get his hat on...

A Future Rock Star?

So, I am running Colt's bath water tonight, and I hear him call "Mama" from the office. I find Colt like this...

with the TV like this...

And then after his bath, I find him watching Daddy do this...

So, this shows just how much they learn without us knowing it. We may have a guitar hero or rock star on our hands. I think that I could pass as a "mom groupie"!

You know it is a good nap when...

it is over two and a half hours and he wakes up with bed head like this...that is what Sunday afternoons are for, right?

Some Things We Love

Well, I am back on the blog. The New Year has been great, but busy in 2009. We even got to enjoy the snow in Atlanta over the holidays...well, it was fake snow (aka foam soap) at Atlantic Station, but the fun and memories are what count!

So, I wanted to share some of Colt's favorite things these days. He is such a joy and blessing in our lives, and I love capturing all of his "moments"...exploring, enjoying, and learning.

Ellie, man he loves her and has so much fun chasing her around the house.

His shopping cart that Big T, AA, and the kids gave him.

Driving the jeep at Mimi and Boppoo's house.

His Radio Flyer tricyle from Nonny and Grandpa.

Stickers.

Getting his own yogurt out of the refrigerator.

Giving kisses (although the grimace on my face is because sometimes he kisses with teeth...ouch!)

Finding the camera and taking his own pictures.

Bath time with Aunt Krissy...she gives him mohawks.

Reading.

Cleaning out Daddy's armoire.

Making a parade in the kitchen with his toys.

And just being so darn cute!
